Development Of Botanical Garden

Today, on 16/07/2024, under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, a botanical garden was started in the premises of the school at the first female teacher Mata Savitribai Phule Government Girls College under the guidance of the college principal Dr. Jyoti Yadav. On this occasion, the college principal gave her guidelines to develop this garden and started this campaign by planting a plant of Agave (Brahmah Kamal) species in the middle of the garden. On this occasion, Eco Club President Dr. Kavita Saini gave detailed information about the construction and development of the garden. Department Head of Botany Nisha Yadav gave detailed information about planting plants of different species. On this occasion, various types of plants were planted like medicinal plants, ornamental plants, succulent plants etc. It is worth noting that this time the admission process in all the colleges affiliated to Indira Gandhi University Mirpur Rewari is being done under the new education policy. In this context, the Department of Life Sciences took the initiative to launch a botanical garden collectively. This effort will prove beneficial in materializing the practical examinations of the students of the Department of Life Sciences. This is a beautiful step taken towards providing a great and valuable environment to the incoming students and making the government's campaign 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' scheme successful. On this occasion, Dr. Sucheta, Dr. Jai Shri Kumar, Dr. Anita, Dr. Sunita, Prakriti, Deepika, Neeru, Varsha, Manisha and gardener Jai Prakash had a special contribution. This campaign was completed under the supervision of the Department of Botany, Department of Zoology and Eco Club.
